MINOT – There are ways to gain needed experience for a young Jamestown High girls’ basketball team, but this way was rough.

Minot, the top-ranked team in AA, held Jamestown to only six first-half points Friday in a 75-25 win over the Blue Jays at the Magic City Campus gym.

Jamestown (2-5, 0-4) managed only two three-pointers in the first 18 minutes and totaled seven threes for the game.

Maggie Fricke led the Majettes (7-0, 4-0) with 20 points.  LeeLee Bell scored 14.

Haley Attleson and Mea Ulland each had six and each hit two three-pointers for the Blue Jays.  Adi Yunck and Emily Ellingson each scored five points.  Mari Anderson scored three.

Jamestown will next play on Saturday, December 30 against West Fargo Sheyenne at Jerry Meyer Arena.
