RUGBY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals improve to 4-3 overall as they defeat fellow Class A team the Rugby Panthers 50-20 Thursday night. Rugby is now 3-3 overall.

Junior Edyn Hoornaert for Carrington dropped in eight first quarter points to helped the Cardinals take the early 18-3 lead at the end of the first quarter, she ended up with a game high 21, including a 3-pointer. There were no ties or lead changes as Carrington led the whole way. Rugby was led by Brooklyn Corum with four points.

Next up for Carrington will be on Thursday, December 28th in Carrington against Hazen, KDAK 1600/100.1 and newsdakota.com will have the game starting about 430pm.
