VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com, photo courtesy of vcsuvikings.com)  Valley City native and Viking defensive lineman Riley Gerhardt has claimed NAIA All-American honors after a record-breaking season.

Gerhardt broke the Viking career record for sacks and tackles for loss this season.  He finished the season with 123 tackles, 12 sacks and 16 tackles for loss.  He finished the season with 37 career sacks and 59 career tackles for loss.

The season followed up his 2022 season where he led the NAIA in sacks, with 12.5, and recorded 109 tackles.

Gerhardt has one year of eligibility remaining.
