VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Valley City Community Band (now in its second year) invites you all to attend their Christmas Concert, Thursday, December 7th at 7 PM in the performance hall of the Center for the Fine Arts Building. Under the direction of Rochelle Jimenez, the VCCB (Valley City Community Band) will offer a variety of Christmas music (along with a special tribute to those who served at Pearl Harbor). Jimenez, a VCSU graduate, is the current music teacher for Maple Valley Public Schools where she teachers K-12 Music. She was instrumental in beginning the Valley City Community Band last year and has grown the group.

The concert will feature various Christmas songs (along with a special tribute to Pearl Harbor and those who served).

The Valley City Community Band (VCCB) operates under the Community School of the Arts. The Community School of the Arts is now under the umbrella of the Bridges Arts Council, a nonprofit group that serves the Valley City and Barnes County area with a mission of providing advocacy for the arts and cultural organizations in Valley City. This concert is supported by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts.
