JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Executive Director of the Jamestown Chamber has been honored by Prairie Business. Emily Bivens has been selected as one of the 40 Under 40 Honorees. This recognition highlights young professionals under the age of 40 in the region, encompassing entrepreneurs, industry experts, executives, and nonprofit leaders. The honorees, including business owners, patent holders, government officers, and community trendsetters, are individuals who have made significant impacts in their respective fields and communities.

According to Prairie Business, the annual list features professionals from diverse industries, acknowledging their noteworthy contributions to both their professions and communities. This year’s 40 Under 40 honorees represent high-caliber professionals from various sectors, all contributing significantly to their fields and communities.

Emily Bivens has served as the Executive Director of the chamber since 2018. During her tenure, she has successfully increased membership, and benefits, and actively seeks opportunities to enhance the community for a more positive visitor experience and potential workforce recruitment. In 2022, Bivens played a key role in the merger of the chamber with Jamestown Tourism, now holding the position of Executive Director for both 501c6 entities.

In addition to her role at the chamber, Bivens oversees the Jamestown DMV as part of her responsibilities, leading a dedicated six-member staff. Expressing her gratitude for the recognition, Bivens stated, “I am honored to have received this recognition and to be listed among 39 other young professionals nominated for their work in their respective fields. It’s a distinction I will proudly display, and I look forward to continuing my service to the community, representing our members to the best of my ability.”

Bivens is actively involved in various community organizations, including the Jamestown Downtown Association, Child in our Hands Daycare, and Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corps. She resides in Jamestown with her husband Jason and their three children.
