VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com)  The Maple River Raiders volleyball team had two players selected as All-Region I players following the 2023 season.

Kiana Lerud, a senior Libero/Defensive Specialist, and Adyson Hannig, a junior Outside Hitter, were awarded all-region honors by the coaches of Region I Class B volleyball.

The Raiders finished 10-13 overall, 5-6 in Region I play.  They defeated Enderlin in the opening round of the super-region tournament, advancing to the quarterfinals as the seventh-seed.  They were defeated by Wyndmere-Lidgerwood in the quarterfinals.

It was the first season since 2007 that the Maple Valley portion of the co-op advanced to the regional volleyball tournament.  Maple River is a co-op of Maple Valley and Hope-Page.
