(ND Ag Connection) – To map out the future of its agricultural sector, North Dakota is initiating a comprehensive online survey. Set to roll out on November 13, this survey is a collaborative venture steered by the North Central USDA Regional Food Business Center (RFBC) and supported by the North Dakota Rural Electric Cooperative Foundation.

The foundation, with Josh Kramer at its executive helm, is eager to facilitate the survey, highlighting its commitment to enhancing North Dakota’s rural quality of life. The survey’s insights are expected to fortify a more resilient and competitive food system, aligning with the foundation’s core objectives.

The survey solicits input from farmers and food business owners to inform state and local agencies about current agricultural needs. Contributions from participants within the specified window will inform strategies to develop necessary infrastructure, like livestock and produce processing facilities and storage solutions.

North Central USDA RFBC, alongside 35 partner organizations within the Dakotas and Minnesota, concentrates on empowering smaller agricultural operations. North Dakota’s cooperative foundation is joined by a host of regional entities dedicated to fostering agricultural and rural resource management and sustainability.

Those interested in contributing to the future of North Dakota’s agriculture can access the survey online from November 13 to December 11.

This initiative not only underlines the commitment of state and local bodies to agricultural advancement but also offers a platform for producers to voice their needs and shape a robust support system for a thriving rural economy.
