JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Police want to let you know about a new high risk sex offender who is living in the city.

61 year-old Matthew Carl Dyer is living at 1009 5th Ave NE in Jamestown. Dyer is 5’7″ and weighs 200 lbs, with gray hair and brown eyes.

Dyer has been assigned a high-risk assessment by the ND risk level committee.

Matthew Dyer was convicted of 3 counts of gross sexual imposition in 1993 in Stark County. On three occasions, Dyer engaged in oral sex with a 14-year-old boy while a 16-year-old boy engaged in anal sex with Dyer.

Dyer did not complete sex offender treatment while incarcerated. Within three months of release, Dyer was found with two teenage boys in his residence and was subsequently civilly committed as a sexually dangerous individual.
