The Lisbon Broncos were overwhelmed by the undefeated Langdon Area Edmore Munich Cardinals early and often as the undefeated champs of Region Two cruised to a 33-0 win.
For Langdon, the scoring started immediately after forcing an early three-and-out from the Lisbon offense as Rayce Worley and Cody Amble connected for a 65-yard catch and run to give Langdon a 7-0 lead. It would be another quick drive for the Lisbon offense as they would be forced to punt the ball away to the Cardinals once more. This time for the Cardinals it would be a much more time-consuming drive as they would eat up clock using an efficient run-pass mix plays to set up a short touchdown run to give Langdon a 14-0 lead.
The Cardinals would tack on one more touchdown before the half to make it a 21-0 lead as they would be set up to return the second-half kickoff. Not much would change at the start of the third quarter as Langdon once again proceeded to go right down the field, chewing up most of the third quarter with Mason Romfo scoring his second TD of the day as he finished the game with over 100 total yards.
After another Langdon score in the third quarter to make it 33-0 the running clock would be issued as the game would come to an end shortly after. For Lisbon, they’ll finish with a record of 5-4 as three of their four losses this year have come against teams with one or fewer losses in the regular season. As for the Cardinals, they’ll move onto the quarterfinals for a date with the Central Cass Squirrels who blitzed past Cavalier 42-0.
