David Besette, age 76, of Tower City, ND, died Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Valley City.  A private family inurnment will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City.  An online guestbook will be available at www.lerudmathias.com.  Funeral arrangement by the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home of Valley City.  

David Jerome Besette was born January 24, 1947 at Mercy Hospital in Valley City, ND the son of Wesley and Margaret (Riemer) Besette.  He attended school in Tower City, ND.  He joined the US Army from 1966 to 1968.  He was stationed in Germany for 2 years.  When he returned, he worked for Northern Improvement.  In 1970 he married Linda Schmidt.  In 1975, David began working for BNSF Railroad until Retirement after 32 years.  

David is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Vicky (Tony) Gudajtes, son Brett (Sarah) Besette , 8 grandchildren; and brother Fred Besette. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Steven Besette.
