GLENFIELD, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals controlled most of the match and cruise to the 3-0 victory over the Titans of Griggs/Midkota (25-13, 25-10, 25-13). Carrington is now 4-2 in District 5 and 19-9 overall, GM drops to 2-4 in District 5 play and 5-14 overall.

Set one had some early ties, but after the fourth tie at nine, Carrington took control with help from Harper Kollman’s five kills to take the first set. In set two, Carrington jumped out to a 13-0 lead before the Titans got on the board and led at one point 16-1. In set three, there were ties one through seven, but then the Cardinals put together some good runs, including some good kills from Isabel Wendel. Madison Johnson and Wendel led the way for Carrington with eight kills, Kollman added five, all in set one. Kennedy Reidman had four kills, an ace and a stuff block for GM.

Next up for Carrington will be on Tuesday night at home against fellow Region 3 team the Imperials of Napoleon/Gackle/Streeter. KDAK 1600/100.1 and newsdakota.com will have the varsity match starting about 7pm.
