VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – An Active Shooter Exercise will be conducted at the Valley City Jr/Sr High School as well as a staging area at the Valley City Park and Rec Center on Wednesday, October 18th from 1PM to 4PM.

Barnes County Emergency Manager Jessica Jenrich said this is a mock drill exercise for first responders.

Valley City Public Schools, School Resource Officer Sean Hagen looks forward to this training opportunity for the school district and the community.

There will also be road closures during this Active Shooter Exercise on Wednesday, October 18th from 1pm to 4pm. The closure will be along Central Avenue North from the 400 block to the 600 block in Valley City.
