(NewsDakota.com)—-The Langdon Area-Edmore-Munich (LAEM) Cardinals opened the game with a 12 play drive consuming 8 minutes and 18 seconds off the clock setting the tone for the night. LAEM capped the drive off with a 10 yard touchdown pass from Race Worley to Mason Romfo. Worley would connect with Nick Kingzett on the 2 point conversion and led 8-0. Carrington turned the ball over on an interception on their third play of the game and LAEM held the ball for a 9 play drive capped off with a 16 yard touchdown pass from Worley to Cole Welsh with 11:56 to go in the second quarter. Jax Johnson would add the extra point kick for a 15-0 lead. Carrington would get there only score of the night midway through the second quarter when Logan Weninger scored from 4 yards out and the 2 point conversion was successful on a Josh Bickett pass to McKade Zink. LAEM answered quickly on a 1 yard touchdown run from Worley. The score was setup on a 63 yard pass from Worley to Kingzett deep in Carrington territory. LAEM would add another late first half score when Worley hooked up with Romfo for a 6 yard touchdown pass with just 6 seconds left in the half giving the visiting Cardinals a 29-8 halftime lead. LAEM added touchdown runs from 2 yards (Welsh), 71 yards (Romfo), and 12 yards from Jax Johnson in the second half cruising to the 50-8 win with a running clock for almost the entire second half. Worley finished the game completing 14 of 19 passes for 247 yards and 3 touchdowns and added 1 rushing touchdown. Romfo hauled in 6 receptions for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns and added 97 rushing yards on just 7 carries with another touchdown from 71 yards. Kingzett added 3 carries for 19 yards and had 4 catches for 72 yards.

Corbin Clifton had 5 carries for 30 yards and 1 catch for 6 yards to lead Carrington and Logan Weninger had 7 carries for 14 yards and a touchdown and 1 reception for 8 yards. LAEM improved to 9-0 and will host Lisbon in the opening round of the playoffs and Carrington dropped to 6-3 and will host Oakes in the first round of the playoffs.
