The Jamestown High School Football team picked up a win tonight against the Valley City Hi-liners 33-14 with Iron Helmet Trophy up for grabs.

It would be a slug fest from both teams early on, neither team giving an inch. That is until Tyson Jorrison who would later leave the game with an injury would rush in on a 2-yard touchdown from the wildcat formation with 5 seconds to go in the first half for the first score of the game. It would be 7-0 at half Jamestown would have the lead.

In the 2nd half both teams got busier. Quarterback Ryan Kallenbach would throw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Nate Walz, his first of four in the 2nd half with 9:55 left in the 3rd quarter. Valley City would respond when they were given short field position after a fake punt attempt from Jamestown. The Hi-Liners would start at the 18-yard line, and it would be the first play of the drive when quarterback Bryson Heck would pass to running back Carter Borg for an 18-yard touchdown pass to cut the deficit 14-7 with 7:41 left in the 3rd quarter.

Valley City would make a play on defense, in particular Connor Suhr would intercept Kallenback to give the Hi-Liners the ball at their own 38-yard line. From there they would drive 5 plays, 62 yards finishing with a touchdown on a 6-yard rush from Caden Amann making the game 14-14.

Nat Walz would catch a 31-yard and a 25-yard pass both for touchdowns as well as getting a pick 6 taking over the game in the 4th quarter. Jamestown would end the game with a 33-14 shutting out Valley City in the 4th quarter.
