PARK RIVER, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals scored the last two touchdowns of the game to beat the Aggies of Park River Area by the final score of 22-8 Friday night. Carrington is now 6-1 in Region 2 and 6-2 overall, PR drops to 0-7 in the Region 2 and overall.

The Cardinals scored first after QB Josh Bicket connected with Jaxon Schaefer for a 64-yard catch-and-run touchdown three minutes into the game, making the score 6-0 after the missed extra point. Park River came back and took the lead after QB Jace Rosinski hooked up with Connor Hurtt for a 21-yard TD reception. The Cardinals would scored just before halftime when Logan Weninger took it in from 18 yards out making the score 14-8 at half. Weninger would score again with seven minutes left in the fourth quarter from 34-yards out.

With the victory, the Cardinals secured a home playoff game on Saturday, October 21st. Their opponent is to be determined.
