LEAL, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals volleyball team took on fellow District 5 team the Bison of Barnes County North on Tuesday night, the Cardinals won sets one and two, the Bison won set three, and the Cardinals win the match by taking the fourth set (25-15, 25-12, 22-25, 25-12). Carrington is now 12-7 overall and 3-1 in D5, BCN drops to 1-14 overall and 0-4 in D5.

The Cardinals cruised in sets one and two. In set three, the Bison came back and tied the contest at 21, they would outscore Carrington 4-1 down the stretch to pull out the victory. The Cardinals controlled all of set four and pick up the district victory in four sets. The Cardinals were led by Madison Johnson with 10 kills. Isabel Wendel had six kills and three aces, she also had her 1,000th dig in set one. BCN was led by Izabella Haugen with six kills.

Next up for Carrington will be the Carrington Volleyball tournament on Saturday. The Cardinals will play in Pool A Saturday morning in the west gym, and the tournament side of things is scheduled to start at 1pm, here is the pool play schedule for Carrington.
