Eleanor (Krause) Anderson was born on her family farm in Oriska, North Dakota on October 29th, 1927 to Walter and Marie Krause. She attended a one room school house until the 8th grade. Throughout the first several years of her life, Eleanor helped her family with various chores both on the farm and around the house. On July 18th, 1947, Eleanor married William (Bill) Anderson whom she spent 71 years of wedded bliss with prior to his passing in 2018. During their first few years of marriage Bill and Eleanor resided in both Santa Ana, California and Aurora, Colorado while Bill was an active member serving in the US Marine Corp. On February 25th, 1948, they welcomed their daughter Kathy into the world. In May of 1951, their family made the move to the Valley City area where they built and made life-long memories in their home prior to entering their eternal homes. Eleanor was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She loved helping in the kitchen whenever it was needed. During the summer months, the family would spend time at their family farm where Eleanor would drive truck and help with fieldwork. Eleanor enjoyed cleaning and always kept a spotless home. She loved gardening, canning, cooking and baking. Her grandkids enjoyed going home with baked goods every time they would stop to visit and for that very reason, Eleanor always had a freezer full of an assortment of their favorite baked goods ready.
Eleanor left those she loved with countless memories and many wishes for years to come in the future with the legacy she left behind.
