The Jamestown Women’s Volleyball team has won its 10th straight match this afternoon sweeping Hastings 3-0, 25-20, 25-12, and 25-21.

Jamestown held the lead throughout most of the contest, though in the 1st and 3rd sets the sets they would be tested by Hastings till the end of the set. Aleah Zieske led the Jimmies in points with 16.5 and kills with 14. Darienne Johnson had a phenomenal day defensively providing her verticality at the net and also chipping in offensively with 11.5 points and 9 kills on the day. Grace Hegerle also had double digit points with a 11, and 7 kills. Logan Sherman had 8 kills on the day as well. Paige Oswald and Lily Bertsch distributed the volleyball well as they both had 20 assists.

 

Jamestown is now 15-5 overall, 8-0 in the GPAC and is undefeated at home as well at 4-0. Jamestown’s next focus will be on the road at Concordia University October 6th, at 7:30 PM.
