VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NDHP) – A Jamestown woman escaped serious injuries in a rollover crash on Interstate 94 about 5 miles west of Valley City on Thursday, September 21st about 3:05am.

The Highway Patrol said a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer driven by 31-year-old Nicole Roman was westbound on I-94 near MM 285, approximately 5 miles west of Valley City. While westbound, Roman left the roadway and the Mercury rolled. Roman was injured in the crash and transported by Barnes County Ambulance to CHI Hospital in Valley City.

Captain Bryan Niewind said Roman was arrested at the scene for misdemeanor driving under the influence. He said she was also cited for infraction level violations for possessing marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.

This crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
