CASS COUNTY, N.D. (CCSO) – A Cass County Sheriff’s Deputy was walking to their patrol vehicle to start their shift from their residence and noticed their patrol vehicle had sustained minor damage at some point during the overnight hours of September 12th. Upon further investigation, the deputy observed the object used to damage the squad car resembled an incendiary device. The deputy contacted the Red River Regional Bomb Squad, requesting further investigation of the device. Authorities have confirmed that it was incendiary in nature.
The investigation is being conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), with the assistance of the Fargo Police Department. No further information is being made available at this time.
