PARK RIVER, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Cardinals traveled to Park River Tuesday night for a non-region match with the Aggies of Park River Area, Carrington wins the contest 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 18-25, 25-18). Carrington is now 3-1 overall, PR drops to 3-5 overall.

There were three ties in set one, but Carrington never trailed. In set two, the Cardinals led at one point 19-10, but PRA came back and made things close but still lost by two. In set three, the Cardinals started on a 4-0 run, but the Aggies came back to tie at six, seven and eight and led the rest of the way. In set four, there were a total of 10 ties, the last one was at 14, then Carrington pulled away to take the match. Unofficially, the Cardinals were led in kills by Isabel Wendel with 17 and Madison Johnson with 14. Lauren Bell had 17 for the Aggies.

Next up for Carrington will be on Thursday in Carrington against New Rockford/Sheyenne, KDAK 1600/100.1 and newsdakota.com will have the varsity match starting about 715pm.
