Carrington, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—The Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier (EKM) Rebels defeated Carrington 3-0 (25-21, 25-19, 27-25) and remained undefeated at 4-0 overall and now 1-0 in District 5 play. The Rebels played extremely well defensively and a balanced offensive attack kept Carrington off balance defensively throughout the match. Libby Mathern paced the Rebels with 13 kills and Mataeya Mathern added 12 kills. Elli Lloyd added 11 kills and Grace Irey finished with 7 kills. Abby Mathern finished the night with 35 assists. The Rebels set the tone early with a 10-0 run in the first set leading 10-1. Carrington would comeback to make it close before the Rebels closed out the opening set 25-21.

Carrington was paced by Madison Johnson with 10 kills and Isabel Wendel (8 kills) and Edyn Hoornaert (7 kills). Carrington dropped to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in district play.
