JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Starting on Thursday, September 7, 2023, as part of the City Street Maintenance Program, chip sealing operations will be underway. It is anticipated that this maintenance activity will continue until Saturday, September 9, 2023, or until its completion.

The chip sealing process is expected to have a notable impact on several significant traffic areas, including:

The stretch from 1st St E to 8th St SE
The area from 2nd Ave SW to 14th Ave SE
Downtown Parking lots (with the exception of the NW parking lot)
Eagle Flats Parking lot
Jonny B’s Brickhouse Parking lot
Middle School Parking lot
Paved alleyways situated within these specified areas

Motorists and all other road users are advised to exercise caution when entering these construction zones and to contemplate using alternative routes.
