Valley City N.D. (Submitted)… The Hi-Liner Cross Country team battled the heat on Friday at the Breckenridge/Wahpeton Invitational XC Meet at the Bois de Sioux Golf Course in Breckenridge, MN. In the girls 5K race, senior Reagan Berg crossed the line in a time of 19:20 to claim the championship. Junior Greta Goven placed second and eighth grader Brynn Lueck placed third. On the boys side, senior Corben Golovanoff placed seventh with a new personal best time. Also placing in the top 10 for the Hi-Liners was sophomore Autumn Anderson at 5th in the JV 4K race and seventh grader Brycen Berg placing 10th in the JH 3.2K.
Next meet for the Hi-Liners is Wednesday, September 6th at the Leonard Golf Course. Race time is 10 am.
