The Jamestown Blue Jays would pick up the win while playing in the team’s home opener against the Turtle Mountain Braves 48-12.

From the start it was all Jamestown, when linebacker Max Rittenbach intercepted a pass from Turtle Mountain QB Kruze LaFountain and returned into Braves territory at the 14-yard line. Receiver Nate Walz at the 10 and half minute mark in the game would get into the endzone pushing the Blue Jays ahead 7-0 after the extra point from Sara Sletto. With 3 and a half minutes left in the 1st quarter, Ryan Kallenbach would score on a 7-yard QB keeper to push the score to 14-0.

Within one minute of the start of the 2nd quarter, Kallenbach would connect on a deep pass to Tyson Jorrison for a 34-yard touchdown catch. Things would only continue this direction as Jamestown led at halftime 48-0.

In the 2nd half the running clock rule would be activated and many of the reserves for the Blue Jays would enter into the game. In the first half, Turtle Mountain was only able to cross into Blue Jay territory once. In the second half though they would find more success. Kael Davis would score on a 54-yard QB Scramble for a touchdown with 3 and a half minutes to go in the third quarter. Lafountain would later connect with Benjamin Dubois on a 17-yard touchdown pass with about 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter.
