JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Chamber) – The Jamestown Community Block Party was a success with several thousand community members of all ages taking part in yesterday’s event.
This event was a city-wide event designed to welcome University of Jamestown students to Jamestown and familiarize them with Jamestown businesses and organizations. This event was free and a variety of free “goodies” and information were given out at 119 booths yesterday evening. This number is an increase from last year and is an overall reflection of the thousands of community members of all ages who walked down 1st Avenue enjoying the fun yesterday evening. The free food, drinks, games, and music allowed for anybody in the community to come down and enjoy themselves. 300 new students were in attendance wearing their orange and black t-shirts as they made their way down the hill from UJ. There were also an estimated 700+ current students in attendance that came down from UJ as well.
