HARVEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Cardinals swept the Hornets of Harvey/Wells County Tuesday night 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-20) in non-region Class B Volleyball. Carrington is now 1-0, HWC drops to 1-4 overall.

The Cardinals controlled most of the match, trailing by just one point early on in sets one and two, four ties in the set two early on and an early tie at one in set three, otherwise they led the rest of the way. Senior Madison Johnson had a nice night, dropping in 16 kills, Isabel Wendel had seven kills for the Cardinals. The Hornets were led by Ashley Keller with seven kills.

Next up for Carrington will be on Thursday night in Carrington to take on Thompson, KDAK 1600-100.1 and newsdakota.com will have the match starting about 7pm.
