VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City State University’s fall enrollment numbers won’t be released for another four weeks.

VCSU President Alan LaFave said we are closely watching the number of Minnesota students enrolled to see if the new Minnesota Northstar program will affect those student numbers.

Earlier this year, Democratic State Senator Tim Mathern of Fargo proposed a counter plan to keep those students from migrating back to Minnesota universities and colleges with at North Dakota incentive.

Mathern said Governor Burgum should call for a special session so legislators could vote up or down on his proposed plan.
