VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Public School District Superintendent Josh Johnson released the district’s Safety and Security Plan that has been developed for the 2023-2024 school year at Valley City Public Schools.
He said this plan has been created with input from our students, staff, parents, school/community leaders, and local emergency responders. This year, our plan is focused on two areas; 1) addressing challenges within our school facilities and 2) increasing the emergency training/drills completed annually in our school district.
Johnson said Valley City Public Schools has been and will continue to be committed to the safety and security of our students and staff in the school district.  As stated in our recently updated strategic plan, VCPS is committed to providing students with a positive school culture and a safe, respectful, and accepting learning environment.  After you review this Safety and Security Plan, if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please communicate them with me and/or SRO Sean Hagen.
