JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Chamber) – Members of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee and the Young Professionals of Jamestown presented the Customer Service Award for August to Les Nordgaard with James River Transit for their outstanding customer service.

The chamber honors individuals who demonstrate a consistent commitment to delivering products or services that satisfy customers by exceeding their requirements or expectations.

Their nomination letter said: “Thank you so much for helping me get my mother from the Sanford Hospital in Bismarck to Ave Maria in Jamestown. I really expected to be told no and that you wouldn’t do the transportation, but that you could maybe tell me another source that would. I was so happy when you said you would and when you told me about the fee for the round trip, I had to ask you twice!! The assistance that we received from you was one of the few high points I had since January 26th. Not only did you provide transportation, but your organization also provided kindness and compassion! Les was our driver and he picked up the wheelchair from Ave Maria and waited patiently while mom was loaded into the wheelchair and brought down to the bus. James River Transit and Les will be one of the moments that I will remember with a smile and a warm heart.”
