bale

DAZEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Express Wrestling Hay Bale event is coming up Sunday, August 20th, at 2pm, on the Broten farm near Dazey, North Dakota.

Co-event coordinator Matt Maresh said he needs a count of how many wrestlers plan to attend. We have a donor that wants to donate a pair of gloves to every kid again this year. Remember this is open to 2nd through 12th graders. The address to the Broten farm is 1681 106th ave SE, Dazey ND 58429

So far we have: Wyatt and Kathryn Maresh, Chase,  Carter, and Charlee Coghlan, Kallen Hanson, Simone and Emma Trapp, Braylee and Camden Amann, Jayden and Teagan Greer, Hailey and Olivia Ford, Tony Wadeson, Odin Greenley, Faith Swart, Alihanna Hellman, Brooke Bundy, Holt Gubrud, Beau Weber, Owen Hunt, Andon, Bowan, Conley, Decker Bulow, and Cannon and Colt Keller, Kallen Hansen, and Simon Trapp. Maresh said its a great opportunity for our Valley City, Barnes County North, and Maple Valley wrestlers to get out of town and into the wrestling room and work together on building the awesome Varsity, Girls, JV, Jr High, and Youth Teams we have.

Express Wrestling is a 501c3. I have pledge forms available, and Marita has donation receipts available.

Krista, Marita, and Alicia are working on a sign up genie for food/drinks. Contact one of them if you have any questions about that.

This is an awesome fundraiser, where the kids work and earn their donations. The bales are for sale, and nearly 400 of them have been spoken for at 5$ per bale. Our goal is 1000. If you want to buy bales, we will have them for sale that day, bring your trailer and the kids will load them. Otherwise I will have them on a trailer at the Bob’s Excavating shop for sale for the days after the event. It is Rye straw, and the Rye is being combined in the next few days.

We will have food afterwards, and some hay bale stacking and throwing contests. It is great opportunity for our Valley City kids to get out to the Barnes County North area, and for all our kids that don’t know, get a chance to experience farm life. It should only take a couple of hours for the whole event. It was a blast last year and went very well. Please consider coming and spending the afternoon with us.

This is an awesome fundraiser for Express/Valley City Wrestling. It is part of why we continue to have a successful program. If you have questions regarding the event, or sponsorship, call me Matt Maresh at 840-0195. If you have questions about food and drink, contact one of the ladies named above. Our Cookie Lady has donated a bunch of chips and drinks to this, she even thinks it’s awesome.
