The Blue Jay Girls Golf Team will practice at Jamestown Country Club. The golf season begins with practice on August 7, 2023. The golf parent and athlete meeting will follow the all-fall sports meeting held in the High School Auditorium at 5:30 pm on August 1, 2023. Coach Hemmer also relayed a message to Golf Parents/Athletes –
“My name is Katie Hemmer, and I am really excited to be the Jamestown Blue Jay Girl’s Golf coach this fall season. I played high school golf for the Jamestown Blue Jays from 1995-1998, and I continue to love the game as a player and a parent. The golf team is open to grades 7-12. We are excited to welcome back our athletes from previous seasons and introduce new athletes to the team. Golf is a game that can last a lifetime! The High School golf experience is not only a fun way to play many courses in North Dakota but also a great way to learn important life skills. Golf teaches you to follow and respect the rules of the game, recover from adversity, and celebrate even the smallest victories. You do not necessarily need experience to participate, as I am happy to provide beginner instruction.”
