CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Another four games were held at Carrington City Park during day two of the State B Legion Tourney, here are the results:

New Rockford 7 Hazen 6

Hazen Astros led 6-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, New Rockford would put up three runs including a walk-off two RBI single from Keaton Cudworth to win it for Post 30. Luke Yri picks up the win, Connor Knatterud started and worked four and two-thirds. Grant Krause takes the loss, working a third on an inning, Tyson Wick started and reached his 120 daily max pitch limit in the bottom of the seventh. Hazen ends their season at 24-5 overall, NR improves to 6-8 overall.

Carrington 9 Burlington 5

Grady Shipman hit two home runs and knocked in six runs to help Post 25 defeat the Burlington Bulldogs and knock them out of the tournament. Winning pitcher was Hudson Schmitz, he also hit a solo home run, a double, had an RBI and scored twice. Josh Bickett came in and worked the last two innings. Jacob Schaefer started for the Bulldogs and takes the loss. Carrington is now 15-8 overall, Burlington ends their season at 17-12 overall.

Thompson  7     Cando  5  (8 innings)

Thompson scored 2 runs in the top of the 8th inning getting back to back RBI singles from Brayden Wolfgram (2-4, 2 RBI, 2 runs, BB) and Thomas Schumacher (2-3, 2 RBI, HBP twice) and defeated Cando 7-5. Thompson never had a lead in the game until the 8th inning. Brody Gibson pitched the final 4 innings and did not allow any Cando runs picking up the win. Reece Berberich went 2-4, scored 2 runs, and was HBP. Parker Simon went 3-4 with an RBI for Cando. Cando built a 4-0 lead after 2 innings and led 5-3 going to the 6th inning before Thompson scored 2 runs to tie the game at 5-5. Zach Jorde went 2-4 with a BB, RBI on a solo homerun in the 2nd inning. Hunter Hagler went 2-4 with 2 RBI, and a run. Cando dropped to 16-4 overall and Thompson improved to 26-6.

LaMoure  13     Langdon  2 (5 innings)

LaMoure scored 10 runs in the bottom of the third inning and cruised to a 13-2 victory in 5 innings. Starting pitcher Corban Potts pitched 5 solid innings allowing just 2 unearned runs in the top of the 5th inning, striking out 6 batters, allowing 5 hits, and didn’t allow any walks or hit batters. Potts also went 2-3 at the plate and had 4 RBI. Tate Mart (1-3), scored 2 runs, and added 2 RBI. Connor Johnson went 1-2 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI. Landon Piehl finished 1-3 with 2 RBI. Anthony Hanson was 1-1 with 2 RBI and 2 BB, and scored 2 runs. Max Musland finished 1-2 with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Blase Isaacson also aided the LaMoure offense with a 2-3 showinf and an RBI. LaMoure (3 time defending champions), improved to 26-6 overall and Langdon dropped to 17-6.
