VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) This year we will be using Sway Medical in place of ImPACT testing. Sway Medical is a new concussion protocol program that will be used to evaluate athletes who may have a concussion. To use this program, the Sway Medical app must be downloaded to the athlete’s phone.

Valley City Public Schools Activities Director Rob Hunt said we ask that all athletes have this app download over the next two weeks before their sport begins so that the athlete can perform a baseline concussion exam which is required before any sport participation.

This app is free and available on all IOS and Android phones. To download, please visit the app store on the athlete’s phone and search for “Sway Medical”.

If the athlete does not have a phone, they will be asked to take the test using another device. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Rob Hunt at rob.hunt@k12.nd.us.
