VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The body of a man was recovered in the Sheyenne River along the 1000 block of Riverview Drive in Valley City on Monday, July 17th. First responders received the call for service about 12:08 pm.

Valley City Police Chief Phil Hatcher said at this time, we are not able to identify the remains of the man and are seeking help from the public. He said no foul play is suspected.

The man is described as a white male, about 30 to 40 years old, dark short hair, beard, about 5’8″ to 5’10 in height and weighing 200 pounds. The man was wearing blue jeans and socks only.
