CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Kidder County Wolves scored one run right away in the top of the first inning, but it was all Carrington after that as they roll to a 8-2 victory Wednesday night. Carrington is now 8-6 overall and 5-1 in District 4, KC is now 4-7 overall and 2-4 in District 4.

Trent Ekren picks up the victory on the mound, working all seven innings, two earned runs, two strikeouts, six hits and two walks. Trey Silvernagel takes the loss. At the plate for Carrington, Owen Hagel had three singles, a sac fly and knocked in five runs. For KC, Isaiah Oster had three singles.

Next up for Carrington will be Thursday in Carrington against Lamoure at 230pm, and Mayville at 630pm. KDAK AM 1600/FM 100.1 and newsdakota.com will broadcast both games. Lamoure will take on Mayville at 430pm.

The District 4 Legion Baseball tourney will be in Steele, running Monday-Wednesday, July 17-19. All games can be heard on Thunder Country 98.3 and newsdakota.com. Here is Monday’s schedule:
