WIMBLEDON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Depot in Wimbledon is the home of the Peggy Lee Museum, chronicling her life & music and the history of the Midland Continental Railroad.
Holly Foster Wells, the granddaughter of Peggy Lee talked about what it must have been like for her grandmother to leave the Wimbledon train depot, where she lived with her father, to get her first singing job on KOVC Radio, which kick started her career. She’s amazed at how younger artists are influenced by her grandmother’s music.
Holly Foster Wells was in Wimbledon on June 15th and in Valley City for Peggy Lee Day on June 16th.
