OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes police department received a call about a suspicious package containing drugs that was delivered by FedEx to a residence in Oakes on June 12th.  Law enforcement arrived at the residence and took it into possession.

Police Chief Matt O’Brien said a short time after that call, officers were called back to the residence for a female who was there looking for the package.  The female left the residence, but officers were able to locate the vehicle south of Oakes.  The female was taken into custody and transported to Stutsman County Correctional Center.

44-year-old Amanda Dawn Nash of Oregon, is facing attempted possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, Fraudulent practices in urine testing, Possession of Controlled Substance-Marijuana-less than 1/2 oz.  The case is still being reviewed by the Dickey County State’s Attorney.
