JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Dollars for Scholars) – Forty-six scholarships totaling $45,600 were awarded by Jamestown Dollars for Scholars (JDFS), a program of Scholarship America at the Jamestown High School Awards Ceremony on May 3rd. The Class of 1967 initiated fundraising efforts at class reunions over the years and directed their JDFS’s Giving Hearts Day donations to their JDFS class endowment to successfully endow a scholarship to honor and remember their class into perpetuity. JDFS was pleased to award the very first Class of 1967 Scholarship at this year’s program.
The scholarship recipients were selected on the basis of academic achievement and community involvement, including volunteer activity.
