LISBON, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes Post 36 Tornadoes fell to Lisbon Post 7 by a score of 14-4 on the Monday June 12th.
Lisbon controlled the game early loading up the bases in the first two innings and scoring two runs in each of the first 3 innings. The Tornadoes were able to get men aboard however they wouldn’t be able to get a hit till the 3rd inning when Max Walock hit a triple to score two runs. He would then score on an error.
Lisbon would open up the taps; scoring 7 runs in the 5th and 6th innings combined. The Tornadoes were able to get a run back in the 5th but it was too little too late. The Tornadoes would strand 6 men on base in total on the game.
The winning pitcher would be Kashden Wadeson who went 3.2 IP with 1 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 6 BB’s, and 1 K. Blayson Dolney would pick up the loss going 4.0 IP with 9 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 6 BB’s, and 5 K’s.
Max Walock would be given the Bank North Player of the Game for his hitting going 2/3 on the night with 2 RBI’s and scoring twice.
