BISMARCK, N.D. (NDHP) – North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) Superintendent Colonel Brandon Solberg announces the promotion of Trooper Benjamin Hixson to Sergeant. Hixson graduated from the Highway Patrol Academy June 5, 2014, after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from North Dakota State University in 2013.

Trooper Hixson was stationed as a motor carrier enforcement trooper in Killdeer from June 2014 until January 2018. He then transferred to Fargo to serve as a traffic enforcement trooper. Sgt. Hixson will now serve at headquarters in Bismarck effective May 11, 2023.
