VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com)–Reagan Berg claimed the lone championship for the Hi-Liners at the Eastern Dakota Conference track and field championships Friday.
Berg won the girls 1600-meter run, wining the event by just under three seconds. She then teamed with Sydnee Ingstad, Brynn Lueck and Greta Goven for a fourth-place finish in the 1600-meter relay.
Karina Olson finished second in the 100-meter hurdles and fourth in the 100-meter dash. Goven was third in the 800-meter run, and Lueck was seventh in that event.
Valley City also notched a seventh-place finish in the 400-meter relay with the team of Layni Bakalar, Laityn Didier, Kadie Kocka, and Chesney Thomsen.
In boys competition, Isaiah Schuldheisz and Dylan Hunt finished fourth and seventh, respectively, in the javelin throw. The Hi-Liners also finished seventh in the 400-meter relay with Parker Jacobson, Wyatt Friestad, Derek Shape, and Aiden Jacobson.
State qualifiers will make their way to the state meet this Friday and Saturday at the Community Bowl in Bismarck.
