VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) The Hi-Liner boys golf team had a busy run in Minnesota last week.
Valley City carded a team 386, just back of Wahpeton and West Fargo Horace, at Detroit Lakes County Club May 2nd. It was a meet hosted by Valley City.
Andrew Tangen, a leader for the Hi-Liners this season, fired an 83 to lead the charge. Alex Rogelstad shot a 94.
A two-day event followed at Forest Hills Golf Course near Detroit Lakes. A number of Hi-Liner golfers saw steady improvement from the first to second day.
Tangen finished 92-80 for a 172 to lead the way. Espen Kunze finished 102-99, and Isaiah Schuldheisz went 103-99, all three golfers setting personal bests on day two of the tournament. The team finished 36 shots ahead of Wahpeton for the day.
The Hi-Liners are at Kings Walk Golf Course in Grand Forks May 9th.
