ALEXANDRIA, MN. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School softball team headed to Alexandria and Little Falls over the weekend for four games outside the state of North Dakota. The Blue Jays went 4-0, winning all four games by at least ten runs.

On Friday in Little Falls, the Jays defeated Little Falls 11-0 before winning 14-4 over Zimmerman. Katie Falk tossed a scoreless shut out in game one and Torrie Mack drove in five runs in game two. The Blue Jays tallied 23 hits over the two games, scoring multiple runs in an inning on six different occasions. Makenna Nold had six RBIs and Jada Watler drove in three during game one against Little Falls. Mack’s five RBIs paced the Blue Jays against Zimmerman.

On Saturday, the Jays defeated Eden Valley-Watkins 13-2 and Alexandria 19-2. Mack drove in six runs over the course of two games as Nold, Leah Trumbauer, and Falk dominated inside the circle during both games. Jamestown recorded 11 hits in game one and 16 hits in the game two victory.

The Blue Jays (13-7, 6-2) host Turtle Mountain Monday at 4:30 PM from Trapper Field. Jamestown travels to Legacy Tuesday before doubleheaders Thursday and Friday at home against Williston and Watford City.
