JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Blue Jay girl’s soccer team earned its third consecutive win while the boy’s track and field took first at the Carrington Invite this weekend.
GIRL’S SOCCER: JAMESTOWN 3, WILLISTON 0
Bre Oettle scored twice and Emma Hillerud netted one goal as the Blue Jays shut out Williston at the University of Jamestown on Friday night. Goalkeeper Olivia Sorlie picked up a clean sheet as she was forced to make just two saves in the victory. Jamestown (4-1-2, 3-1-2) is now 4-0-1 at home this season. The Jays play their final home match of the season on Tuesday against Bismarck High.
TRACK AND FIELD: BOY’S FIRST, GIRL’S FOURTH AT CARRINGTON
Jamestown High School’s track and field teams finally returned to action on Saturday in the Carrington Kiwanis/Lions Meet. The Blue Jay boys team posted a team total score of 195, good for first place. The Jamestown girls took fourth as Carrington won the meet.
