VALLEY CITY, ND (NewsDakota.com) Valley City State University has chosen not to renew the contract of head volleyball coach Brigitte Greywater.
Greywater had been the head coach of the Viking volleyball team since the 2020 season. The team finished 11-17 in 2022, fifth in the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA). After a 4-20 season in 2020, the team was 25-35 since.
Valley City State had recruited a young, but talented group of North Dakota players, with only one player on the team not a North Dakota native. The incoming class followed a similar pattern, and included a Mardi Scutchings, a six-foot middle from Lake Region State College, originally from Kelvington, SK.
The Vikings will begin the recruiting process for a new head coach immediately.
