The long wait for North Dakota golf courses to open led the Hi-Liner boys golf team, and their EDC counterparts, to find courses in South Dakota to start their season.
Tuesday saw the Hi-Liners hit the links at Madison Country Club in Madison, SD. Wednesday led the Hi-Liners to Spring Creek Golf Course in Harrisburg, SD.
Valley City posted a team 408 in Madison in their first outdoor action. Wednesday found a better outcome, as the Hi-Lines shaved 32 shots off of their total for a team 376.
Junior Andrew Tangen led the Hi-Liners both days, with a 92 at Madison and an 83 at Harrisburg. Alex Rogelstad shot 100 at Madison, and carded a 95 at Harrisburg.
Isaiah Schuldheisz saw solid improvement between the two days, starting off with a 117 at Madsion, and cutting that to a 98 to give Valley City three sub-100 scorers on Wednesday at Harrisburg.
Tuesday is the next Hi-Liners action, in Detroit Lakes for a full EDC meet.
