VERMILLION, S.D. (jimmiepride.com)– The Jimmie men’s golf team finished sixth of 11 teams as the GPAC Championship concluded Tuesday at The Bluffs GC in Vermillion, S.D.

UJ finished with a 54-hole score of 38-over 902 (303-299-300), five shots ahead of Hastings (Neb.) and three shots in back of Concordia (Neb.) Doane (Neb.) was first at 4-over 868 (284-297-287).

Jackson Worner was the top placer for Jamestown, tying for 11th with two others at 4-over 220 (71-74-75). Benjamin Schaefer tied for 26th at 11-over 227 (75-74-78), followed by Gehrig Geiss, tied for 32nd at 14-over 230 (79-75-76), while Logan Douglas (82-76-73) and Max Noffsinger (78-77-76) tied for 34th at 15-over 231.

“We couldn’t get our putters going today,” said UJ head coach Zach Hale. “Incredibly proud of this team and all they have accomplished this year. Many positives to build off of going into next year. Excited to have everyone back from this years conference lineup along with the incoming talent to get in the mix!”

Freddy Bullock of Dordt won on the first playoff hole, as he, Blake Andersen of Doane, and Jack Laven of Northwestern all finished at 2-under 214.
