BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown High School softball team picked up a pair of non-conference wins on Monday afternoon in Bismarck over rival Valley City.

GAME ONE: JAMESTOWN 11, VALLEY CITY 1 (SIX INNINGS)

Senior Katie Falk pitched six innings, giving up one run on four hits as Jamestown won game one in six innings over the Hi-Liners. Falk struck out 15 Hi-Liner batters in the win. Ella Falk and Addi Graves each drove in two runs for the Blue Jays. Bailey Leroux drove in the lone run for Valley City, finishing game one 1-for-3 at the plate.

GAME TWO: JAMESTOWN 12, VALLEY CITY 0 (FIVE INNINGS)

The Blue Jays scored a combined nine runs in the third and fourth innings as Jamestown picked up the doubleheader sweep against Valley City. Makenna Nold tossed five scoreless frames in the circle, striking out 13 batters. Ella Falk drove in two more runs in game two, and Rylee Joseph and Jada Walter each had RBIs.

Jamestown improves to 2-2 on the year while Valley City drops to 0-2. The Blue Jays are back in Bismarck Tuesday to take on the Demons of Bismarck High in a WDA doubleheader. The Hi-Liners travel to Devils Lake Tuesday to start EDC play.
