BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Quality pitching was on full display for the Jamestown High School baseball team as the Blue Jays held Bismarck Century scoreless in a doubleheader sweep on Thursday night.

GAME ONE: JAMESTOWN 3, CENTURY 0

Mason Lunzman tossed five scoreless frames, striking out eight Century hitters. The Jays scored a run in the first, a run in the second, and one in the seventh. Jamestown totaled five hits in game one, led by Tyson Jorissen who was 3-for-3. Thomas Newman, Max Fronk, and Brooks Roaldson all drove in runs in the victory.

GAME TWO: JAMESTOWN 5, CENTURY 0

Payton Hochhalter struck out seven batters over six innings, allowing just two hits, as Jamestown swept the doubleheader from Century. Hochhalter also had an RBI at the plate. Jackson Walters pitched a scoreless seventh inning and also had an RBI.

Jamestown moves to 4-0 on the season, 4-0 in the West Region. The Jays travel to preseason favorite Minot on Tuesday.
